About Bettystown Medical Practice

Bettystown medical practice was founded in July 1980 by Dr Joe Cremin. Dr Paul Orr, Dr Rhona Cremin, Dr Rimante Mackeviciute and Dr Skaiste Prielaidaite have since joined the practice. We believe in providing a comprehensive and efficient service to our patients, based on up to date medical evidence, in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Dr Paul Orr

MB BCh BAO DRCOG MRCGP

Dr Orr graduated from Queens University Belfast in 1991.He worked in Belfast City Hospital, Altnagelvin Hospital, and Craigavon Area Hospital, obtaining experience in general medicine, general surgery, cardiology, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, obstetrics, psychiatry, dermatology, and paediatrics. He completed his GP training in the west of Scotland in 1995.He worked as a general practitioner in Australia with the rural doctors network before taking up his current position in Bettystown in 2000.He has a broad range of interests, including chronic disease management ,dermatology, orthopaedic medicine ,paediatrics and men’s health.

Dr Rhona Cremin

MB BCh BAO MICGP DCH DOWH

Dr Cremin graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2003. She then completed the northeast General practice training scheme in 2007 and became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners. She spent a year in Australia doing emergency medicine and started in the practice in 2009. Her areas of special interest include women’s health, the menopause, paediatrics, dermatology and Aesthetic medicine. Dr Cremin is trained in anti- wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.

Dr Rimante Mackeviciute

MD MSc

Dr Rimante Mackevicute graduated from the Lithuanian University of Health Science in 2014, where she got her Masters degree in medicine. In 2017, she completed postgraduate studies in Vilnius University and received her family medicine doctor degree. Since 2014, she has worked in private and public hospitals in Lithuania. In 2018, Dr Rimante joined Bettystown medical practice. Her areas of special interest include, travel medicine, cardiovascular system diseases and lactation.

Dr Skaiste Prielaidaite

MD MSc

Dr. Skaiste Prielaidaite postgraduated from the Lithuanian University of Health science (LUHS), Master in Medicine 2012. 4 years residency ship in General practice – Family Medicine from 2012 – 2016 in LUHS, Lithuania. Worked for 3 years as junior doctor in Emergency departments in Lithuanian hospitals and 1.5 year as a GP in a Primary care centre. 2015 – 2016 was employed by World Health Organisation (WHO) to participate in research about Flu vaccination during pregnancy. In 2017, she moved to Ireland and started as a GP in Balbriggan Medical Centre. She joined Bettystown medical practice in 2019.She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and completed a course in reproductive and sexual health. Special interest areas include, women’s health and pregnancy care, chronic disease management, paediatrics.
